NGC is a non-profit educational organization and the largest volunteer gardening organization in the world. Established in 1929, its headquarters is located near the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis. NGC awards annual college scholarships, sponsors courses in environmental education, flower arranging, gardening study and landscape design, and promotes good horticultural practices.
